Bled is a wonderful Slovenian town with a breathtaking view of the Bled lake with an idyllic island. However, a one-hour walk around the lake might not appeal to you, since you are on a quest for adventures in nature that are usually not accessible to tourists.
Bled is an excellent starting point for some of the most incredible tours to neighboring pastures that are undoubtedly enjoyed most with an electric mountain bike. You can combine more visits along a round route since you do not need to depend on your physical shape alone. A ride with an eMTB enables you to take longer routes and to visit places high in the hills. You can help preserve the pristine nature and enjoy the fresh air. Some of the spots along the plateau Pokljuka include:
- pasture Klek
- pasture Zajamniki with a wonderful shepherd village
- pasture Uskovnica with a beautiful wooden chapel of St. Mary and a mountain hut where you can enjoy a delicious shepherd meal.
- biathlon sport center in Rudno Polje
From Bled you can venture on tours to the nearby beautiful alpine valleys within the Triglav National Park. These pristine valleys are the Radovna valley with the astonishingly beautiful lake Kreda, the Vrata valley under the Triglav north wall, the Krma valley. All tours are a real treat for cyclists and can be combined with the tours to Mojstrana and Kranjska Gora.
Overwhelmed with all the possibilities? Don’t be. Grab a map and start planing, ask few people, for sure you will get to see a lot. If there are still doubts, you can check some of our tours around Bled, maybe there you’ll get some ideas. Have a good one!
